Then, he started a Ph.D. supervised by <a href=\"https:\/\/cqllab.upc.edu\/people\/rferrericancho\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/cqllab.upc.edu\/people\/rferrericancho\">Ramon Ferrer-i-Cancho<\/a> as a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cqllab.upc.edu\/\">CQL Lab<\/a> within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs.upc.edu\/\">Computer Science department<\/a>. The title of his thesis is &#8220;<em>Theory, Algorithms and Applications of Linear Arrangements of Trees: Generation, Expectation and Optimization<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His contributions can be found in several <a href=\"https:\/\/cqllab.upc.edu\/people\/lalemany\/publications\/\">authored and co-authored works<\/a>, and has <a href=\"https:\/\/cqllab.upc.edu\/people\/lalemany\/talks\/\">given a few talks<\/a>. Furthermore, he regularly contributes to the <a href=\"https:\/\/cqllab.upc.edu\/lal\">Linear Arrangement Library<\/a> project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alemany graduated with highest honors (<em>cum laude<\/em>) from his Ph.
