After finishing his undergraduate studies at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in January 2017, Mr. Alemany enrolled in a Master’s Degree at the same university, from which he graduated in July 2019. Then, he started a Ph.D. supervised by Ramon Ferrer-i-Cancho as a member of the CQL Lab within the Computer Science department. The title of his thesis is “Theory, Algorithms and Applications of Linear Arrangements of Trees: Generation, Expectation and Optimization“.
His contributions can be found in several authored and co-authored works, and has given a few talks. Furthermore, he regularly contributes to the Linear Arrangement Library project.
Alemany graduated with highest honors (cum laude) from his Ph. D. program in September 2024.
